James started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1990 in the operations department within Corporate Trust. In 1996 James joined Bankers Trust running Operations. In 2000 James joined Merrill Lynch International where he managed the Equity Derivative Trade Support Team for London. In 2001 he joined Abbey Financial Products, specifically within the Equity Derivatives Middle Office using Misys Sophis Risqué.
In 2003 James joined Barclays Capital London to set up an Exotic Derivatives Middle Office desk running Risk and P&L for the Front Office. After setting up the desk in London and running it successfully, James was asked to re-create the desk within Japan and Hong Kong and run the desk globally from Asia. The Barclays exotic Derivatives business was solely run on Misys Sophis Risqué.
In late 2005 James came back from Asia and joined Royal Bank of Canada to help with a Misys Sophis Risqué Implementation for London and New York. After a successful implementation, James moved onto HSBC in late 2006 to globally manage the Misys Sophis Risqué implementation for Equity Finance in London and Hong Kong.
James then moved in 2008 to run another global Misys Sophis Risqué implementation for ING Bank in London and New York for the Equity Finance and Equity Derivatives business. In 2010 James went to Infinity Capital markets to consult on the London prop trading house Misys Sophis Value implementation and help deliver the US arm of First New York Securities. James has recently been consulting for a large Washington based Hedge fund on their Misys Sophis Value implementation.
James is seen as one of the most experienced Misys FusionCapital (Sophis Risqué) & Misys FusionInvest (Sophis Value) experts and implementation specialist, after having run global programmes. He has also consulted for numerous hedge funds evaluating their Misys Sophis implementations and also evaluating business processes.
